MIAMI, FL (April 21, 2009) – The new sensation of urban bachata, Carlos y Alejandra release their first album “The Introduction”-La Introduccion.
Starting off at the top of the TROPICAL charts in radio airplay at #8 with their first single “Cuanto Duele” (How it hurts) as monitored by MediaBase.
The young duo of Dominican descent brings a fresh new sound that is NOW available in- CD, Digital, and Mobile formats.
Carlos and Alejandra have worked together as a duo since 2006. They describe themselves as “an Urban Bachata Duo with a very attractive sound.” They differentiate themselves by making sure they keep the traditional sound of bachata still adding a little twist; “we maintain the roots of bachata but we add our own unique style and rhythm to our songs.”
They celebrated the release of their upcoming album with WLZL 99.1FM radio in Washington-DC. The duo performed in front of a live audience of more than 5,000 people who sang in harmony the lyrics to their first hit single “Cuanto Duele”-How it hurts. Their success was recognized and can never be forgotten as Tuesday, April 21th was officially named “Carlos and Alejandra” day at the radio station.
The Introduction (La Introduccion), is an album with great songs written by the internationally recognized composer Jorge Luis Piloto, such as “Esta Cancion”. As well as songs co-written by Carlos himself, like “Ella y El.”

El dúo ya se escucha con su primer sencillo “Cuanto duele” tema que está ocupando los primeros lugares en la radio nacional al posicionarse en el puesto #8 de la cartelera Tropical, según reporte de MediaBase.
Los jóvenes de descendencia dominicana nos traen música nueva y fresca en esta propuesta que estará disponible en los formatos CD, móvil y digital a partir de hoy, 21 de abril.
“Como un dúo de bachata urbana con una música atractiva”, de esta manera responden estos jóvenes - unidos desde el 2006 - al preguntárseles como se definen. “Mantenemos la base de la bachata con ritmos nuevos, pero no alejándonos de su verdadero sonido”, dicen asegurando que su estilo es diferente a las demás agrupaciones existentes.
Para celebrar el lanzamiento la emisora WLZL (99.1FM) en Washington-DC, donde la pareja se presentó el pasado 15 de abril con un éxito total consiguiendo que más de 5,000 personas cantaran al unísono “Cuanto duele”, ha designado este martes como “El Día de Carlos y Alejandra”.
LA INTRODUCCION, álbum que cuenta con la experiencia del extraordinario compositor de reconocimiento internacional Jorge Luis Piloto en el tema “Esta canción”, también incluye canciones de la co-autoría del propio Carlos como lo es “Ella y él”.
