(Miami, FL) July 8, 2009 – DON OMAR, Latin music’s most prolific superstar, will reveal the highly anticipated music video for his single “Sexy Robotica” on MySpace Music this Friday, July 10. The video, filmed last month in Miami, FL promises to be the hottest video of 2009 and features scorching footage that is sure to make a lasting impression on the Latin music world.
“Sexy Robotica” is the second official single from Don Omar’s latest album “IDON”. The single has become a radio staple in the US and Puerto Rico taking over the Latin Rhythm Charts since it’s release to radio two months back. The track has become the official soundtrack for the summer of 2009 with its energetic beat taking over nightclubs throughout the world. Meanwhile the track’s lyrics have also received international attention for their provocative nature only further adding to the allure or the track. The album IDON was released in late April and held the #1 position on the Billboard Latin sales chart for 3 consecutive weeks. It currently remains one of the hottest Latin music albums in the country.
Directed by Carlos R. Perez, who also provided the visuals for the hugely popular “Virtual Diva” and “The Chosen” music videos, “Sexy Robotica” is sure to quickly become a favorite amongst Don Omar fans and music followers world-wide. The new video takes viewers back into the world of IDON, the half-human/half-machine creature that Don Omar introduced in his latest album and takes place in an underground layer of fantasy and desire where Don Omar is the center piece of a secret celebration set to the sounds of the artist’s hypnotizing music.
The video will premiere this Friday on one of the world’s most visited social networks as well as the the web’s most important music portal, MySpace Music. It will be available for streaming throughout the weekend as on online exclusive on the popular site before making it’s television debut on Al Rojo Vivo on Monday, July 13 through the Telemundo network. The highly anticipated video clip will make its cable network debut on the Mun2 network as a special part of Tuesday’s episode of “The Shuffle” as well.
The online premiere of “Sexy Robotica” comes as a continuation of Don Omar’s commitment to the expanding his commitment to the digital realm with his latest album IDON. Earlier this year, the superstar became the first Latin artist to ever release an iPhone application. El video, filmado el pasado mes en Miami, Florida, promete ser el más caliente del 2009, con impresionantes pietajes que de seguro causaran una gran impresión en la industria de la música latina.
“Sexy Robótica” es el segundo sencillo oficial del más reciente trabajo discográfico de Don Omar titulado “IDON”.
