THE STARS CAME OUT TO SHINE AT THIS YEAR’S MISS COLOMBIA NATIONAL PAGEANT GALA

Universal Music’s artists came out to participate at this mega event of national importance held last night in Cartagena, Colombia. The beautiful Fanny Lu, who is set to release her new album “DOS”, kicked off the night with her new hit first single “TU NO ERES PARA MI” which has maintained itself in the #1 spot on Colombian radio for 8 consecutive weeks.

The main show of the night was attributed to Spanish singer ROSARIO FLORES, who displayed two spectacular outfits during her performance as she sang OJALA QUE LLUEVA and ALGO CONTIGO, songs which you will be able to find in her most recent album “Parte de Mi” (in stores Sept 2008). It is a concept album where she interprets the songs which have in some way, marked her life.

Rosario was accompanied by the father of the Neo-flamenco style, Antonio Carmona, whom she considers as a brother. He sang his song PARA QUE TU NO LLORES from his debut album as a solo artist, VENGO VENENOSO.

As a gift to the public present and everyone watching on television, ROSARIA AND ANTONIO performed a version of the classic Vallenato LA CASA EN EL AIRE in Flamenco dance style.

It was a true sight and pleasure to have these amazingly talented artists perform at this year’s Gala

LAS ESTRELLAS QUE BRILLARON LA NOCHE DE CORONACIÓN DEL REINADO NACIONAL DE LA BELLEZA.

Los artistas de UNIVERSAL MUSIC brillaron en la noche de coronación del REINADO NACIONAL DE LA BELLEZA. La artista que abrió la gala fue la hermosa cantante caleña FANNY LÚ, quien se encuentra próxima a lanzar su segunda producción discográfica “DOS”, del cual se desprende el sencillo que ya es número uno en la radio nacional “TU NO ERES PARA MI” durante 8 semanas consecutivas.

El show central de la noche estuvo a cargo de la cantante ROSARIO FLORES, quien lució espectacular con sus dos atuendos, primero con un vestido negro con incrustaciones de brillantes plateados y unos botines a la moda, y luego con un vestido de flecos color piel, muy acorde a la noche. ROSARIO cantó OJALA QUE LLUEVA y ALGO CONTIGO, canciones que se encuentran en su más reciente producción “PARTE DE MÍ”, un álbum concepto en donde la cantante presenta aquellas canciones que la marcaron durante su vida, a su manera.

La cantante estuvo acompañada de cómo ella misma dice “su hermano del alma”, el padre del nuevo flamenco ANTONIO CARMONA, quien cantó su éxito PARA QUE TÚ NO LLORES de su primer álbum como solista VENGO VENENOSO.

Como regalo al público asistente y a todos los televidentes, ROSARIO y ANTONIO hicieron una versión del clásico vallenato LA CASA EN EL AIRE a ritmo de rumba flamenca.

Fue un verdadero gusto contar con estos dos grandes exponentes del nuevo flamenco, en una de las noches más importantes y codiciadas por los artistas nacionales e internacionales, un certamen que es cada vez más internacional.
