‘La Princesa del Pasito Duranguense’
Jazmin López también conocida como ‘La Princesa del Pasito Duranguense’, nos presenta su primera propuesta musical titulada “Jazmin”. Esta producción de corte duranguense contiene 10 covers de temas que en su momento fueron éxitos. Ahora en la voz inconfundible de Jazmin seguramente serán de nueva cuanta hits radiales.
El primer corte que sirve como punta de lanza para dar a conocer a esta joven, guapa y talentosa cantante, se titula “Noche de Copas”, mismo tema que la cantante y actriz Maria Conchita Alonso hiciera famoso en los 80’s. Este primer sencillo ha obtenido muy buenas críticas con la voz de Jazmin y se perfila a escalar pociones radiales rápidamente.
“Jazmin” es un álbum que contiene canciones de reconocidos compositores, el tema “Desamor” de Joan Sebastián, “Sin El” y “Dios Bendiga Nuestro Amor” de Marco Antonio Solís, “Carcancha “de A.B. Quintanilla, “El Recuento de los Daños” de Gloria Trevi, “Tu” de Estefano, y “Noche de Copas” de Juan Carlos Calderón.
La selección de los temas se eligió entre Jazmin y su representante, cuidadosamente eligieron canciones con las que Jazmin creció y ella se puede identificar. Canciones de algunos de sus intérpretes favoritos y artistas a quien también admira.
Jazmin López nació en Del Río, Texas y fue creada en Brackettville, Texas un pueblo pequeño de solo 1,800 habitantes. Jazmin creció dentro de un entorno familiar conservador y siempre con el apoyo de sus padres.
Desde que Jazmin era pequeña tomo clases de piano y como sus padres también tocan instrumentos musicales, la musica siempre estuvo a su alrededor. Pero definitivamente la influencia más grande fu su madre, ya que ella canta y fue quien desde los 4 años le dio sus primeros cursos de canto.
A los 15 años de edad Jazmin comenzó a cantar profesionalmente en clubs nocturnos alrededor de Texas y ciudades de México y ha compartido escenarios con grandes artistas como: Los Tigres del Norte, Alacranes Musical y Bronco por mencionar algunos. Pero no fue hasta este 2009 que Jazmin firmó su primer contrato discográfico con Fonovisa Records, gracias a su representante el Sr. Pedro Ávila, quien tuvo la visión de convertirla en una gran estrella.
Actualmente Jazmin es la conductora del programa nacional “ReMexa”, de Mtv3. Este programa es el primer programa de la cadena dedicado exclusivamente a la música Regional Mexicana, mismo que se transmite de lunes a viernes a las 6pm.

Jazmin Lopez, also know as ‘La Princesa del Pasito Duranguense’(The Duranguense Princess), releases her first self titled production “Jazmin” on June 30th. This album in the Duranguense style of Regional Mexican music, contains covers of 10 very popular Latin songs; now with Jazmin’s distinctive voice will probably once again become radio hits.
“Noche de Copas” (Night of Drinks), is the first single introducing this young, beautiful, and very talented singer. This song was first made famous by the singer/actress Maria Conchita Alonso back in the 80’s. The single in the voice of Jazmin received very positive reviews by radio experts and promises to rapidly ascend to the top of the radio charts.
“Jazmin”, the album, contains songs by well recognized composers: “Desamor” by Joan Sebastian, “Sin El” and “Dios Bendiga Nuestro Amor” by Marco Antonio Solis, “Carcancha” by A.B Quintanilla, “El Recuento de los Daño” by Gloria Trevi, “Tu “ by Estefano and “Noche de Copas” by Juan Carlos Calderon.
The song selection was done by both Jazmin and her management. Songs were carefully selected to reflect Jazmin’s taste and those she grew up listening to and can identify with, songs from some of her favorite artists that she also admires.
Jazmin was born in Del Rio, and was raised in Brackettville, Texas, a small town of only 1,800 residents. Jazmin grew up in a very family oriented and conservative household, counting always with the support of her parents towards her artistic endeavors.
Jazmin took piano lessons at a very early age and since her parents were also musicians and played several instruments; music was all around her. Her biggest musical influence was her mother, also a singer. She coached Jazmin, giving her the first voice lessons when she was four years old.
When Jazmin was 15 years of age, she began to sing professionally at night clubs around Texas and Mexico sharing the stage with artists like: Los Tigres del Norte, Alacranes Musical and Bronco to name a few. But it wasn’t until 2009 that Jazmin signed her first major record deal with Fonovisa Records, thanks to her manager Pedro Avila, who had the vision of turning her into a super star.
Currently Jazmin is also the host of the national TV Show ReMexa on MTV Tr3s. The show was the first show on the network that focusing on Regional Mexican music and it airs Monday through Friday at 6pm.
