ARTHUR HANLON ACLAMADO EN CHILE EN CONCIERTOS “INTIMOS” JUNTO A MYRIAM HERNANDEZ - 2009/10/27

El pianista Arthur Hanlon regresó a Chile a tocar una serie de conciertos íntimos con la diva chilena Myriam Hernández. Los shows, titulados “Myriam Intima”, presentaban a Hernández cantando un historial de éxitos, acompañada solamente con Hanlon al piano en una serie de arreglos nuevos y excepcionales que fueron aclamados por el público que abarrotó ambas noches en el Teatro Nescafé de las Artes en Santiago de Chile.
Arthur también interpretó varios de sus propios temas, incluyendo “Piano Sin Fronteras”, de su nuevo álbum “Piano Sin Fronteras”, una colección de duetos extraordinarios escritos por Arthur y grabados con artistas como Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Laura Pausini, Ricardo Montaner y la propia Myriam, con quien Arthur interpreta el tema “Que Tu Piano Hable Por Ti”. “Piano Sin Fronteras” será lanzado en Chile por Universal Music.
Los shows "Myriam íntima" rompen contundentemente con el formato tradicional de las presentaciones en vivo, acercando a los fans a los artistas como nunca antes. “Voy a estar desnuda….musicalmente”, dijo Hernández.
“Tengo que pensar en el sentimiento de cada canción, y es mi responsabilidad capturar ese sentimiento con el piano", explicó Arthur. “Hay muchas facetas en su voz. Es como cuando miras un diamante a la luz: ves diferentes cosas. Así que mi piano es como la luz. Y ella es como el diamante”.
La historia de Arthur, o “La Increíble Historia del Pianista que Toca con las Estrellas”, como ha sido descrito en Chile, se contará por la cadena PBS hoy en el aclamado programa de entrevistas “Art Street”, que se transmitirá a las 7:30 por WLRN en Miami.

Pianist Arthur Hanlon returned to Chile to play a series of sold-out, intimate, acoustic shows with Chile’s first lady of music, Myriam Hernández. The shows, titled “Myriam Intimate” featured Myriam singing her history of hits, with only Arthur at the piano. All songs boasted new, exceptional arrangements designed to take the music to a different level. The sold-out shows took place at Santiago’s Nescafé Theater of the Arts.
Arthur also performed some of his own pieces, including “Piano Sin Fronteras” from the album of the same name, to be released this month in Chile. The acclaimed recording of Arthur’s original material, out on Universal, includes duets with some of Latin music’s biggest stars, including Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Laura Pausini, Ricardo Montaner and of course, Myriam ,with whom Arthur performs “Que Tu Piano Hable Por Ti”.
The “Intimate” series of show are a break from traditional live shows, and are designed to bring the artists closer to the fans. “I will be musically naked”, Myriam said.
“I have to think of the feeling behind each song and it’s my responsibility to capture that feeling on the piano,” Arthur explained. “There are many facets to her voice. It’s like a diamond when it’s hit by the light. So, my piano is the light, and her voice is the diamond.”
Arthur’s story, or “The Incredible Story of the Pianist Who Plays With the Stars,” as it has been described by media in Chile, will be told tonight (Oct. 26) on PBS’ acclaimed show “Art Street,” airing at 7:30 p.m. on WLRN, Channel 17 in Miami.
