Don Omar will perform “Virtual Diva” for the first time in front of an international audience at the Latin Billboard Awards, the most anticipated moment of the gala-event.

MIAMI, FL (April 13, 2009) – Latin music superstar, DON OMAR will play a primary role at next week’s 2009 Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards.
The king of Latin urban music will participate in this years “Q&A”, the most important panel of the Billboard conference, an event that is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The forum will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at the Pompeii Room located within the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach. The focus of the question and answer session will revolve around the changes in the music industry, the evolution of how new music is distributed and all of the details surrounding the release of Don Omar’s highly anticipated new album “IDON” which will be available as of April 28.
Don Omar’s performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards is considered to be one of the most anticipated moments of the awards gala. He will perform his hit “Virtual Diva” for the first time in front of an international audience. The song is the first official single from the new album and has topped the sales charts of online digital stores while its respective music video has maintained the NUMBER ONE position at atunes Latino. Don Omar’s performance will be broadcast live from the University of Miami’s Bank United Center on Telemundo at 7pm EST on April 23rd.
Further, Don Omar will participate in an extensive promotional tour during the release week of the album. The tour will take him from Miami to Los Angeles, New York and finally Puerto Rico. In-store autograph signings and album release events are planned in these important cities.

El Rey de la música urbana estará a cargo del foro más importante de las conferencias, que este año celebran su veinte aniversario, conocido como “Q&A”. En el panel, el más importante del evento que se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de abril en el Pompeii Room del Eden Roc Resort en Miami Beach, Don Omar hablará sobre los cambios en la industria musical, las nuevas tendencias de distribución, así como de detalles relacionados con el lanzamiento de su anticipado álbum IDON que saldrá a la venta el 28 de abril.
Igualmente, Don Omar es la superestrella más esperada de la gala de premiación donde presentará por primera vez ante el público internacional su nuevo éxito “Virtual Diva”, tema que prevalece entre los primeros en ventas en las tiendas digitales y cuyo video se mantiene NUMERO UNO en iTunes Latino.
