MIAMI, FL (May 6, 2009) – DON OMAR is once again the king of the Latin music world. His futuristic new album “IDON” debuted at the #1 position on this week’s Soundscan Latin chart. The highly anticipated new album is the first studio album from the reggaeton superstar in nearly 3 years and is available now in CD/Digital/Mobile formats.
IDON was also the #1 album on the iTunes Latino sales chart the week of release and the digital download of the “Virtual Diva” music video has made it the highest selling Latin video at the popular online retailer. “Virtual Diva” has been one of the most popular songs at Latin radio since its official release in January of 2009. The video clip was received with tremendous reception upon its release this past March and has become one of the most popular videos at music channels throughout Latin America.
“Sexy Robotica”, the official second single from the album is also becoming one of Don Omar’s most popular songs ever as its undeniable buzz has already spread throughout radio and nightclubs in the US and Puerto Rico. The energetic track features some of Don Omar’s most igniting lyrics to date and is quickly climbing radio station playlists throughout the country. A new music video for the song will be recorded in the upcoming weeks and will premiere in early June.
Last week, Don Omar visited key radio stations in Los Angeles, New York and Puerto Rico as part of his IDON promotional tour. Su nuevo álbum futurístico “IDON” debutó en la posición #1 en el Latin Soundscan chart de esta semana. El tan esperado álbum es la primera producción de la superestrella del reggaeton luego de 3 años de preparación y ya se encuentra disponible en CD y formato Digital y Mobile.
IDON también se colocó #1 en las listas de venta de iTunes Latino la semana de su lanzamiento, y el video musical “Virtual Diva” ha sido el video latino de mayor venta digital del famoso portal. Dicho tema se ha convertido en una de las canciones Latinas más populares en la radio desde su lanzamiento en enero del 2009. De igual forma su video ha sido recibido con tremenda aceptación y se ha convertido en el más popular en los canales de videos musicales de toda Latinoamérica.
“Sexy Robotica” es el segundo sencillo official del disco y ya se está convirtiendo en una de las canciones más populares del afamado artista, al difundirse de gran forma por la radio y discotecas de Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico.
