Don Omar’s dominance of the sales chart is mirrored by his presence at radio where his newest single “Sexy Robotica” has become one of the most requested songs in the country. Since its release the dance-infused song has shot to the top of the Latin Rhythm charts all while becoming one of the most talked about songs in Don Omar’s career due to its controversial lyrics and aggressive beat. The track has also become a staple at nightclubs throughout the US and Puerto Rico. A music video for the new single will be recorded in Miami in the upcoming weeks and will see its world premiere in June.

Meanwhile, the music video for the album’s first single, “Virtual Diva”, a clip that depicts Don Omar’s transformation into the half-man/half-machine creation IDON, remains one of the most requested songs both at video channels and online where it continues to be one of iTunes best selling digital music videos. Other tracks from the album have also become hits in their own right including the club-hit “Blue Zone”, a song that remains a favorite in Puerto Rico and throughout nightclubs in the US.

Don Omar will resume promotional activities for the launch of his album next week in New York City and throughout the Northeast. Later this month, Don Omar will launch the IDON application for iPhone and iPod Touch devices. In doing so he will become the first Latin artists to ever release this type of application and will open up a new level of interactivity with his millions of fans. The app. will allow “El Rey” to send exclusive videos, messages and share never-before-seen content to all users who download the special software.

El Rey de la Música Urbana se mantiene como el artista latino de mayores ventas en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico, mientras su nuevo sencillo “Sexy Robótica” continua apoderándose de las emisoras radiales.

MIAMI, FL (20 de mayo de 2009) – DON OMAR se reafirma como el Rey en ventas de la música Latina. Su nuevo álbum, "IDON", permanece por tercera semana consecutiva en la posición #1, según la cartelera Latina de Soundscan. El álbum, la primera colección de la nueva música del Don, ha sido aplaudido por su sonido revolucionario que fusiona el hip-hop, dance, reggaeton y ritmos electrónicos.

El dominio del artista en las listas de ventas tiene como espejo su fuerte presencia en la radio, donde su nuevo sencillo “Sexy Robótica” se ha convertido en una de las canciones más solicitadas en el país.
