Los Angeles, CA (November 24, 2008) – Last night Enrique participated in the 36th annual American Music Awards, where he won his nomination for FAVORITE LATIN ARTIST, making it his 5th win of these prestigious awards, beating out Wisin y Yandel and Juanes.

“This award, like all the rest, belongs to the people, to my fans,” said Enrique at the 2008 AMA’s where he shared the evening with stars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox and Coldplay among other.

“This year has been memorable for me in every sense. Since I released 95/08 I’ve only experienced satisfaction. Rendezvous’ with the people that have grown with me since the beginning…and you can see it has rained! The American Music Award is like the American dream made a reality. Having sang in London and South Africa then to come back to the United States where you live and they award you…man, it feels good. It’s like an incentive. A new motivation to give it more feelings,” said the Singer of “Lloro Por Ti”, after receiving his award.

With a firm position at the top of the popularity charts, Enrique Iglesias breaks his own record of NUMBER ONES with two consecutive top hits from his 95/08 Exitos album, including “Lloro Por Ti”, song which gave him his 19th #1 on Billboard’s HOT LATIN TRACKS. And in the tradition of number ones, Enrique continues to maintain his position as the top selling Latin pop artist, as he holds the #1 spot with his current album, which has already surpassed the 300,000 mark in the United States and Puerto Rico alone!

The unstoppable artist, who last night presented an award LIVE from the AMA awards held at LA’s Nokia Theatre continues to scale world charts with his latest single “Away” featuring Sean Garrett, off his recent Greatest Hits album in English.

“I always say that there is a lot left, I am missing everything. It’s just that I can’t stay still, I want to learn, do more things, produce more songs, do more collaborations, and well, why not even a movie with Ben Stiller or Jim Carey!” assures the Spaniard between laughs, “I am a big jokester and I think that comedy fits me well”, exclaims the singer, writer and actor in important TV shows, that continues to be an example for all Latinos.

Los Ángeles, CA (24 de noviembre, 2008) – Anoche, Enrique Iglesias se alzó en la 36ta Entrega Anual del American Music Award al ganar por quinta ocasión el premio AMA como “Artista Latino del Año”. Con este galardón, el único en la categoría latina, frente a colegas con Wisin y Yandel y Juanes.

Enrique se prepara para cerrar con broche de oro un año de innumerables éxitos, decenas de conciertos, múltiples discos de Oro y Platino.

"Este premio, como todos los demás, pertenece a la gente, a mi público”, dijo Enrique en los AMA's 08 donde compartió con estrellas como: Beyonce, Riahna, Mariha Carey, Annie Lennox y Coldplay, entre otros.

Este año ha sido memorable para mí en todos los sentidos. Desde que lancé 95/08 sólo he tenido satisfacciones. Re-encuentros con esa gente que ha crecido conmigo desde mis inicios… y mira que ha llovido! El American Music Award es como el sueño americano hecho realidad. Instalado en el tope de la popularidad, Enrique Iglesias rompió su propio record de NUMEROS UNO al sumar consecutivamente dos nuevo #1 de su álbum 95/08 Éxitos a nivel continental, entre ellos el tema “Lloro por ti” canción con la que logró colocar su decimonoveno hit en el primer lugar del Hot Latin Tracks de Billboard. Asimismo, el cantante se mantiene NUMERO UNO en ventas con esta producción que ya ha sobrepasado las 300,000 copias vendidas sólo en Estadios Unidos y Puerto Rico.

El imparable artista, que desde el Nokia Theatre en Los Ángeles también tuvo a su cargo anoche la presentación en vivo de uno de los galardones, en estos momentos comienza a escalar las listas mundiales con el tema “Away” featuring Sean Garrett, corte perteneciente a su nueva compilación de éxitos anglos, Greatest hits.

“Digo siempre que falta mucho, me falta todo. Es que soy muy inquieto, quiero aprender, hacer más cosas, producir más canciones, hacer más colaboraciones y porque no...
