IL Volo culmina gira de promoción en Puerto Rico de su nuevo álbum “Más Que Amor”

IL VOLO, el trio de jóvenes italianos que ha revolucionado el mundo de la música conquistó al público puertorriqueño durante la visita realizada a la Isla esta semana para presentar su nuevo álbum en español MAS QUE AMOR, que se ha colocado como el primero en ventas en Puerto Rico y los Estados Unidos. En medio de una cargada agenda de promoción en América, Piero, Gianluca e Ignazio realizaron un alto para visitar brevemente la Isla y compartieron su nuevo trabajo discográfico con los más importantes medios de comunicación. , tres tenores adolescentes originarios de Italia, están a punto de convertirse en un nuevo fenómeno en América con el lanzamiento de su álbum debut del mismo nombre: “IL VOLO” (Junio 7, 2011).

IL VOLO está integrado por: Piero Barone (17 años), Ignazio Boschetto (16 años), y Gianluca Ginoble (16 años) pequeños de edad pero grandes en su interpretación, han logrado fusionar de gran manera canciones clásicas con la influencia del pop puro.

Lanzarán su álbum debut en Estados Unidos y México el próximo 7 de Junio a través de Universal Music Group. Producido por el legendario Humberto Gatica (Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli) y el mundialmente reconocido cantante y productor italiano Tony Renis, IL VOLO fue grabado entre Los Ángeles y Roma, así como en los famosos estudios londinenses de Abbey Road.

El álbum cuenta con 11 temas, los cuales incluyen una mezcla de canciones clásicas y nuevas, destacando el clásico tema "O SOLE MIO", y la canción más representativa en el repertorio del compositor mexicano Roberto Cantoral "EL RELOJ". Este álbum cuenta con una versión especial totalmente en español concebida para el mercado Latino habido de escuchar propuestas nuevas y refrescantes.

IL VOLO visitó Estados Unidos por primera vez en el mes de Febrero, durante la temporada de premios donde se presentaron en varios eventos exclusivos, incluyendo un show privado en la casa del entonces Presidente de Geffen Records, Ron Fair; una cena privada previa a los Grammy donde también asistió Jimmy Iovine (Chairman de Interscope/Geffen/A&M) y una fiesta pre-Oscar en las oficinas de Miramax. Culminaron su estancia en América, tocando en el programa “The Talk”, de la CBS, haciendo su debut en televisión nacional.

Los muchachos decidieron adoptar el nombre de "IL VOLO", que significa "El Vuelo", ya que en su sentir es la necesidad de extender sus alas y volar. No pasó mucho tiempo antes de que el manager de IL VOLO – Michele Torpedine (Quién se ha ocupado de la carrera de Andrea Bocelli y la estrella de rock italiano Zucchero) consiguiera un contrato de grabación con Universal Music Group para lanzar su disco homónimo en Italia en Noviembre del 2010, donde en menos de tres meses, sin Airplay de radio o de vídeo, y solo unas pocas apariciones en televisión, fue disco de platino. IL VOLO se convirtió en los primeros artistas italianos en firmar con Geffen Records en los Estados Unidos.

IL VOLO regreso a los Estados Unidos para una segunda visita este mes de Mayo, demostrando que el gran éxito obtenido hasta el momento en Europa no es casualidad. IL VOLO se presento el pasado miércoles 18 de Mayo en uno de los shows televisivos más importantes de la televisión Norte Americana… AMERICAN IDOL, en donde interpretaron la clásico canción Napolitana “O SOLE MIO” para una audiencia de más de 30 millones de telespectadores, llevándose consigo excelentes comentarios tanto del público en general, como de críticos de música.
