Colombian rocker Juanes will present his biggest career hits together on one album for the very first time with the release of Tr3s Presents “JUANES MTV UNPLUGGED”. The new album also marks the first time that the singer, composer and guitarist has released a live album. All of the songs included in the collection were produced by the legendary Dominican musician Juan Luis Guerra and were taped during a live concert at Miami’s New World Center on February 1 of this year.

Eleven Juanes classics were chosen for unique, acoustic interpretations and reworked through the historic musical collaboration between Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra. They include a tropical flavored re-interpretation of “Fijate Bien” fused with an explosive rendition of “La Paga” followed by soaring, strippped down versions of “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor”, “Es Por Ti” &  “Para Tu Amor”. Also included: an unforgettable ballad version of the hit “Volverte A Ver” and an epic, larger-than -life  rendition of “Odio Por Amor”.

Juanes’ biggest international hits such as “A Dios Le Pido”, “La Camisa Negra” and “Me Enamora” were also re-envisioned for this project and the new acoustic versions of the songs promise to become fan-favorites of their own. In addition,  the album will include a special version of “Hoy Me Voy” featuring Brazilian superstar Paula Fernandes and three new songs. The new songs include “La Señal”, the first single from the album and a song that has quickly climbed to the top of the radio charts not only in the US but throughout Latin America; “Todo En Mi Vida Eres Tu” and “Azul Sabina”, a song that Juanes co-wrote and performed with legendary Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina.

The album is currently available as a special pre-order on iTunes; fans that preorder their album from the digital music store will also receive the unplugged version of the Juanes classic “Fotografia” (duet with Emmanuela Belleza – Unplug with Juanes contest winner).

“JUANES MTV Unplugged” will have its television premiere on Sunday, May 27 on MTV Latin America, and Monday, May 28 on Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más in the United States.   The full CD/DVD release will soon follow on Tuesday, May 29^th from Universal Music Latino.

El rockero Colombiano Juanes presentara sus éxitos mas grandes por primera vez con el lanzamiento del álbum, Tr3s Presenta “JUANES MTV UNPLUGGED”. El nuevo álbum también marca la primera vez que el cantante, compositor y guitarrista ha lanzado un disco en vivo. Todas las canciones incluidas en esta colección fueron producidas por el legendario músico Dominicano, Juan Luis Guerra y fueron grabadas durante el concierto en vivo que se llevo a cabo el 1 de febrero de este año en el New World Center de la ciudad de Miami.

Once clásicos de Juanes fueron escogidos para trabajar estas originales interpretaciones acústicas a través de una histórica colaboración musical entre Juanes y Juan Luis Guerra. Los músicos incluyeron una versión con toques tropicales del tema “Fijate Bien” fusionado con una versión explosiva de “La Paga” seguida por intensas y despojadas versiones de “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor”, “Es Por Ti” y “Para Tu Amor”.
