MIAMI, FL (30 de junio, 2009) – En su primera semana en el mercado GRAN CITY POP se convierte en Disco de Platino por las altas ventas en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Hoy en una conferencia de prensa celebrada en Miami, Paulina Rubio recibió el importante reconocimiento.

Paralelo a este logro, su primer sencillo, “CAUSA Y EFECTO” se mantiene firme por TERCERA SEMANA CONSECUTIVA como el NUMERO UNO en las listas de audiencia HOT LATIN SONGS que publica la revista Billboard, en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico.

Una multitud de sobre 100 mil personas deliraron el pasado sábado, en Guadalajara, ante la participación de Paulina Rubio durante la segunda jornada de Jalisco en Vivo, un concierto de artistas Latinos impulsado por su compatriota Alejandro Fernández con el fin de recuperar el turismo en México, evento en el que entre otras canciones Paulina interpretó su nuevo éxito internacional “CAUSA Y EFECTO”.

Tras este triunfo Paulina Rubio viajó a Miami donde esta semana la espera una ocupada agenda con motivo del nuevo lanzamiento. De ahí Paulina regresará a México para continuar con la promoción de su nuevo material discográfico.

At a press conference, held today in the city of Miami, Paulina Rubio was surprised with the news that her recently released album, already hit the Platinum mark. During the hour long activity, she was given this important honor and then proceeded to take questions from media.

Parallel to this recognition, Paulina Rubio continues to lock down the NUMBER ONE spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot Latin Songs in the United States and Puerto Rico with her hit single, “CAUSA Y EFECTO”, for THREE CONSECUTIVE WEEKS

This past weekend, Paulina performed her international hit single, “CAUSA Y EFECTO” in front of thousands of people at the “Jalisco en Vivo” concert, held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The event, stimulated by Alejandro Fernandez brought together an array of Latin artists in an effort to impulse tourism back into the country.

After her successful performance, Paulina Rubio traveled to Miami where this week she will execute a busy agenda as she promotes the release of her new album, GRAN CITY POP. She will then head back to Mexico in order to continue with commitments for this release.
