NUMERO UNO EN LA RADIO DE ESTADOS UNIDOS Y PUERTO RICO POR TERCERA VEZ ESTE AÑO
MIAMI, Florida (11 de diciembre, 2009). Tras una semana histórica para los líderes en ventas de música latina, el mas reciente sencillo de Wisin y Yandel, “Gracias a Ti” remix con Enrique Iglesias, llega a la posición número uno de la radio hispana de Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico, según la lista “Latin Songs” de la revista Billboard. Esto los convierte en el duo o grupo con el mayor numero de canciones número uno (seis en total) desde que se inauguro la lista de Billboard hace 23 años, rompiendo el record anteriormente establecido por el grupo de rock mexicano Maná. Además, “Gracias a Ti” es el tercer sencillo de Wisin y Yandel que logra la primera posición en la lista este año, tras los éxitos “Me Estas Tentando” y “Abusadora”.
El 4, 5, 6 y 7 de diciembre, Wisin y Yandel ofrecieron cuatro conciertos totalmente vendidos en el Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot Los conciertos de casi tres horas de duración que fueron transmitidos mundialmente a través de www.terra.com , incluyeron todos los éxitos de la trayectoria musical del dúo; contaron con una producción millonaria y artistas invitados de renombre internacional como Enrique Iglesias, Akon, Aventura y T-Pain.
Con los conciertos en su patria, Wisin y Yandel cerraron con broche de oro una semana repleta de logros. Su mas reciente álbum “La Evolución” debutó en la posición número uno en ventas en la cartelera “Top Latin Albums” de Billboard y en la misma semana el dúo fue nominado al GRAMMY® al Mejor Album Urbano o Alternativo o de Rock Latino por su aclamada producción multi-platino "La Revolución". THE DUO HAVE HAD THREE NUMBER ONE RADIO SINGLES THIS YEAR
MIAMI, Florida (December 11, 2009). After an historical week for the Grammy Award winning artists, Wisin & Yandel have garnered the number one spot on the US and Puerto Rico Latin radio charts with hit single “Gracias a Ti” feat. Enrique Iglesias. This means the duo now holds the title for most number ones by a duo or group in the 23 year history of the Latin Songs Chart with six number ones, surpassing previous record-holders Mexican rock group Maná. “Gracias a Ti” is the third number one single the duo has had on the Latin Songs chart this year, alongside hit singles “Me Estas Tentando” and “Abusadora”.
On December 4, 5, 6 and 7 Wisin & Yandel presented four SOLD OUT shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot. The three-hour-long concerts were broadcast live worldwide on www.terra.com and featured state-of-the-art production and sound as well as renowned guest artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Akon, Aventura and T-Pain. The December 5th concert received over 600,000 streams on Terra.com, a record for a live online music event.
The concerts topped off an amazing week of unexpected achievements for the duo.
