WISIN Y YANDEL “LA REVOLUCION” REMAINS AT THE #1 POSITION ON BILLBOARD’S TOP LATIN ALBUMS CHART FOR A SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK!

MIAMI, FL (June 10, 2009) – Latin Music’s top-selling act WISIN Y YANDEL continue to make history with new album “La Revolucion”. The duo’s highly anticipated new album remained at the #1 position for a second consecutive week according to this week’s Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart. Last week, Wisin & Yandel’s “La Revolución” had the biggest debut of a Latin album in two years, conquering the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums Chart and the #7 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 (US album sales across all genres).

Across Latin America, the results were just as staggering, conquering the top spot in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Central America and Argentina.

Along with the sales success of “La Revolucion”, the album’s first single “Abusadora”, has quickly shot to the top of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and Hot Latin Rhythm Songs radio charts. The summer anthem is one of the best-selling tracks on iTunes Latino and holds the top spot in the iTunes Latino Top Music Video list. “Abusadora” has only been available for four days on Youtube and has captured more than three hundred thousand hits. The video was premiered last week across all of the MTV Network, making it the first time a Latin video completely in Spanish is played on both the Anglo and Spanish language MTV channels.

The duo also graces de cover of the current issue of Billboard Magazine along with 50 Cent who collaborated with them on their latest album. The cover story is about the importance of the Latin market for artists of any genre, as well as the significance of Wisin y Yandel and what they are generating in the musical industry.

As the album title indicates, with “La Revolución”, Wisin y Yandel intend to revolutionize the music industry with their unique brand of Latin urban music. “La Revolución” features 15 songs with a fusion of genres and styles, as only Wisin y Yandel can deliver them.
