The new single will be part of the upcoming release “Chapter Dos: On The Verge”, the new edition of their hit album that features 5 new studio tracks inspired by their hit mun2 reality show.
The new album will be available on November 17 in CD/Digital/Mobile formats.
Miami, FL – October 15, 2009 – XTREME, urban bachata’s most successful duo filmed the music video for their new single “Baby, Baby” yesterday in New York. The new studio track is the first official single from their new album, “Chapter Dos: On The Verge”, the new edition of their latest release that will feature 5 new recordings inspired by their hit mun2 reality series.
The music video, directed by Benjamin DeJesus and Edgar Andrade, was filmed on the streets of New York and at Ella lounge in the lower east-side of Manhattan. The clip which will be released to national television in late October features Xtreme as Bronx-styled Prince Charmings in what will be a modern-day version of Cinderella meets Romeo & Juliet. It will be a Bronx tale of finding love, losing love and trying to win it back.
“We wanted to do something different with this video – more like a modern Cinderella story, but set in NYC. We’re very happy with the way the shoot went and are excited for the fans to see it”, commented Danny D after a long day of shooting. Steve Styles, the other half of the duo, added “For our videos, we never like to repeat ourselves so each time we have to make sure that the concept is unique.”
“Baby, Baby” is quickly becoming Xtreme’s newest hit and is rapidly scaling the tropical charts in the US & Puerto Rico. Later this month Xtreme will begin their “Chapter Dos: On The Verge” promotional tour which will take to key markets throughout the fall including Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego and of course their hometown of New York. Album release events and concerts are also planned in key markets this fall.
In addition to “Baby, Baby”, Xtreme’s new release “Chapter Dos: On The Verge” features 4 other new studio songs inspired by the duo’s popular Mun2 reality series “Xtreme: On The Verge”. The series became one of the network’s most successful new programs of 2009 and ventured into the day-to-day lives of the group as they navigated the trials and tribulations of the music business. These new additions include the tracks “Vuelve”, “Friday Night”, “Tu Amigo Con Beneficios” and the holiday classic “Devuelveme La Navidad” featuring the genre’s newest sensation, Carlos & Alejandra.

Miami, FL – 16 de octubre de 2009 – El dúo más exitoso de la bachata, XTREME, filmaron el video musical de su nuevo sencillo “Baby, Baby” ayer en Nueva York. El nuevo éxito es el primer sencillo oficial de la nueva propuesta de Xtreme “Chapter Dos: On The Verge”, una nueva edición de su pasado disco que incluirá 5 temas nuevos inspirados en su exitoso reality show de Mun2.
El video musical, dirigido por DeJesus y Edgar Andrade, fue grabado en las calles de Nueva York y en Ella lounge en la parte este de Manhattan. El clip que será lanzado a las cadenas de television nacionales al final de Octubre se trate de una versión moderna de la cenicienta junto a Romeo y Julieta. Es una fantasía de amor con la actuación especial del grupo Xtreme.
“Quisimos hacer algo diferente para este video – un cuento de Cenicienta, pero en NYC. Estamos muy feliz con la grabación del video y estamos emocionados para que lo vean nuestros fans,” comento Danny D después del día largo de grabación. Steve Styles, la otro mitad del dúo, agrego “Para nuestros videos, nosotros no nos gusta repetir y cada vez nos aseguramos con concepto sea único.”
“Baby, Baby” se está convirtiendo rápidamente en el nuevo éxito de Xtreme tras escapalar de forma veloz las listas tropicales en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Este mes, Xtreme empieza su gira promocional de “Chapter Dos: On The Verge”. La gira los llevara a ciudades como Miami, Dallas, Los Ángeles, San Diego y por supuesto New York. Varios conciertos y eventos de lanzamiento se llevaran acabo en estas ciudades claves.
