Alex Midi grew up steeped in Mexico City’s music scene. Since his early teenage years, he’s honed his skills as a DJ and producer, becoming a leader in Latin America’s electronic music scene. His ability to create futuristic sounds while drawing inspiration from the past has earned him stage time alongside the world’s best-known DJs at renowned music events like Ultra Music Festival, EDC, KPTL SOUND and DAYDREAM, and his unparalleled talent in the studio has landed him producer privileges on records for Latin artists including Belanova, Aleks Syntek, Belinda, Paulina Rubio, and more — not to mention more than 10 gold and platinum certifications as part of the outfit Moenia.
Having now spent several years producing and DJing as part of Aftercluv, Midi continues to build on his status as a pioneer in the world of electronic music. Many of his records, including “In The Air Tonight” featuring Delacey and his most recent “Big In Japan” and “Human,” have made waves around the world, and 2020 promises to continue that forward momentum as Midi introduces “Magic Nights,” a live show concept in partnership with OCESA and Universal Music that’s already sold out several installments.
