EL FREAKY

hide

Hailing from vibrant Colombia, El Freaky is a name that’s become synonymous with the country’s burgeoning global bass movement. Composed of members Andrés Shaq, Kmmy Ranks, Mike Styles, and Fat Sugar Man, this pioneering collective has achieved worldwide fame with their matchless combination of Colombian and Caribbean folk music. They’ve built a strong presence within the Latin America community, but their sphere of influence has spread to the U.S. and abroad over the past years — a phenomenon that has led to collaborations with global artists like Afro Bros, Stanley Jackson, Akapellah, Feid, Trapical Minds, De La Ghetto, Paty Cantu, and Juanes. Their performances are visual and audial experiences that transcend borders and language barriers, earning them a cult following across a diverse, multicultural fanbase. On stage they have opened for Justin Bieber, One Direction, DIPLO, Thievery Corporation, Sean Paul, Calle 13 and Steve Aoki among others. A very in-demand group of Music Festivals, El Freaky have performed in many festivals that include: Glastonbury, Eurockennes, Paleo, EDC, SXSW, Stereo Picnic, Vive Latino, Storyland and Boiler Room Weekender. Their remixing work includes “Aerosol Can” (Major Lazer & Pharrell Williams), “Powerful” (Major Lazer & Ellie Goulding) and “Aguanile” (Fania All-Stars). Additionally, El Freaky’s work can be heard in two major TV Campaigns: Fiat (Europe & Asia) and Subway (United States).
